Job Requirement:

 

  1. Finished High School, Diploma or higher
  2. Hotel Restaurant Hospitality Service is must.
  3. Administration and Management Skills
  4. Behavior and attitude requirement

 

Job Responsibility:

 

  1. Is assigned to be stationed in the kitchen to handle food production of ‘short orders’ as when received or directed; works closely with colleagues to ensure that the food requirements are met and expedited with minimum delay.
  2. Performs physical requisitions of approved food supplies from General Store for stocking in outlet kitchen Defrosts frozen items in the proper manner as trained and cuts, debones and thins all meat items, cook and arrange food as instructed.
  3. Assists in the physical transfer of cooked food to location of function and if arranged for, to be at station and portion out the food.
  4. Checks and cleans the interior of reach-in refrigerators if found to be dirty; ensures that no cooked/uncooked food items are left uncovered and placed together in same compartment which will encourage the spread of bacteria.

  6. Ensures that kitchen floor is kept clean and dry; assists in the cleaning of floor and kitchen premises when necessary. Be fair to your kitchen helper and steward porter.
  7. Coordinates duties of commis cook and kitchen helper to ensure efficiency in food service.
  8. Performs overtime work as when required to handle any unexpected meal arrangements.

  10. May be called upon at times to undertake tasks that are not included in this description.
  11. Strong communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills.
  12. Ability to make daily reports and correspondence consistent with the duties of this position.
  13. Displays courtesy, tact, and respect when dealing with external and internal.
